When I worked in KC as the Property and Maintenance Manager for 3 residential and business property investors, I was always allowed First Views of new properties...one reason, of course, was to judge the work needing done, and the time line; the other reason was that the bosses had discovered that I had a proclivity of successfully making them Unseen money by discovering the properties Hidden artifacts (these areas they knew nothing about)...artifacts discovered, and splitting profits of, included items such as Quaker Cupboards, art, glassware's, and antiques. Over the years of working for them, we made quite a little chunk of change within this Hand Shake Agreement. Never once did they ask me IF or What...I just handed them their half of the sale.

On the other hand, once, in following one of my hobby's, I was shooting photos of an old dilapidating homestead, a beautiful photo op for me, the owner showed up all ticked off. He didn't like Anyone looking at his property - even though I was standing on the main road, and had not gone onto his property. He cussed me out, we talked, and he understood what I saw when I was photographing his old family homestead, and then he gave me permission to go onto his property to shoot closer up. Which brings up my blood father.

As a teen, he and my uncles were....scallywags...LOL. They had a habit of stealing the next door neighbors watermelon and apples........until they snuck on to his property one day for apples, and my dad got a backside full of rock salt...................Dad would murder me if he knew that I told that story to the world

The moral of this?

Rock salt is not as fun as initial permission is with blessings and trust placed, and it's also far worse than an owner who got surprised that his old falling in homestead was as beautiful to another as it was special and to be protected by him...........a breath of fresh air is always better than rock salt...ask permission before even photographing another's property, let alone hunting it for their treasures!

Till next bout - Peace out!
